Flight Schedule Generation
The Videcom Reservation System is fully integrated with other industry systems for keeping synchronised with flight schedules and can either be treated as a Master or Slave in terms or schedule generation. When creating a flight schedule, the scheduler will add full flight details including some of the following data:
- Date Range (Unlimited)
- Days of the week of operation
- Flight Number
- Flight Time
- Aircraft Type, Configuration and Seat Plan
- Departure Control System Profile (where the airline is using the Videcom DCS to check-in)
- Interline Partner
- Codeshare Flight
- Inventory Nesting Configuration
- Inventory Profile (Can use a pre-set inventory profile or create an ad-hoc profile)
- Restrict Sales
- SSM Distribution
- PNL Distribution
- ADL Distribution
- Multi-Leg Stops
- Internal Capacity Levels
- External Capacity Levels
- AVS Thresholds
- Flight Closed
GDS and Interline Syncronization
If the system is to be used as the slave system it will recieve schedule updates from other systems and mirror all schedule changes.
If VRS is to be used as the master scheduling system for the airline the scheduling team will create flight schedules which can be anything from a single flight to a full season of repeating flights for a set date range. The flights can be kept up to date either individually in the case of an ad hoc change or as a group of flights. When schedule changes are made VRS will automatically send out industry standard schedule messages to keep any other system up to date with those chanegs in real time - this indludes GDS Systems, Interline Partners, Operational Systems and any other parties that your airline needs to keep up to date.
