Airline Global Distribution Systems
Videcom supports the highest level of participation and connectivity to Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, Worldspan and Abacus the worldwide distribution systems that the majority of travel agents use. As an airline you must identify which are the most important GDS systems in your market as the presence of each of the systems within travel agent varies from market to market but it is probable that you will require 2 or 3 connections to the above systems.
Highest Level of GDS Connectivity
Videcom VRS has the highest level of connectivity to the GDS systems through the implementation of Type A EDIFACT links that allow the travel agents to receive real time information and confirmation from your airlines host system. Type A is a modern link between systems using a VPN to connect the systems in a perpetual exchange of data. This provides real time interactive availability, selling and eticketing for travel agents to complete bookings on your airline. The GDS networks still rely on some Type B messaging between systems and Videcom fully supports all Type B messaging where required.
Rapid Implementation
Videcom VRS is already connected to all the leading GDS systems including Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, Worldspan, Abacus & Sirena which means that your airline can be implemented on any combination of these majaor distribution networks with an "Off the Shelf" product. The Videcom GDS team are working on a day to day basis with all GDS systems so getting your airline on sale through the GDS networks is simply a matter of arranging and implementation slot and Videcom enginners will take care of the rest.
