A detailed fare structure is maintained through user friendly screens including the following:

• Departing City and Destination City, Booking class, Seating class and Fare Code.
• The Fare Currency and Segment along with any tax on the fare.
• The Fare Price will automatically be filled in with the total fare for all segments entered.
• The dates the fare is to be valid for by selecting the dates from a calendar.
• Fare validation rules are added here, e.g. minimum/maximum stay, advance purchase.
• Fare notes can be appended here and viewed by the reservations agent when a fare quote is done.
• Ticket endorsements can be appended to the fare.
• Fares can be configured to be available to restricted sales channels such as internet bookings.
• Baggage allowance can also be configured and specific to particular fare.
• Discounts such as for children and infants can be applied as a fixed rate or a percentage.
• All taxes that the airline requires can be applied to fares.
• Fares can be marked as "out of service" to restrict them from appearing on a fare quote, without having to remove them from the system.

The system can be configured to set usual airline restrictions such as when a fare applies like Advance Purchase, minimum and maximum stay allowed.  If the fare is to be applicable to groups, then you can specify the minimum group quantity that must be travelling together for the fare to be applicable etc.
